they have SIM cards for non-GSM phones now? or did you switch cell phone companies sometime recently?

We borrowed SisTurtle's GSM phone from New Zealand. The guy just popped in a new SIM card and we were in business!

It's kind of ironic that the time when you REALLY want a cell phone is when you're travelling, but that's exactly when your phone doesn't work if you have a US phone.
