Milk

I always thought that milk lasted a week after its "sell by" date. As it turns out, that's not true, as I learned the hard way. :P For now on, I'm only letting it go 2 or 3 days after the date.

I think it's 1 week after the sell by date, assuming it was unopened.

And I think the dates are based on a conservative threshhold for expected spoilage. I imagine it's possible to get an outlier.

The sell-by date was something like 2.5 weeks after we bought it... So by the time I drank it, 1 week later, it was almost a month after we bought it. In any case, it was unpleasant.
